Heather leads the Personal Injury & Reparation team, which deals with a wide variety of Personal Injury claims including road traffic, employer liability, public liability and medical negligence. The team pursue and defend claims in courts throughout Scotland including the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session.
Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Personal Injury, Heather has experience in a variety of civil litigation and specialises in complex personal injury reparation involving catastrophic injuries and fatalities. In this role, Heather acts for a variety of insurance companies, private individuals and private companies. Heather is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, the world’s largest professional body dedicated to insurance and financial services. Within this role, Heather is also a member of her local Institute, the Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow.
Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession ranks Heather as a “Recommended Lawyer” in Personal Injury.
Legal 500 notes that Harper Macleod “acts for large insurers, public bodies and private individuals in claims pertaining to wrongful deaths, road traffic accidents and mesothelioma, as well as cases concerning public and occupiers’ liability.” Legal 500 recommends Heather in Medical Negligence and Personal Injury where clients describe her as “one of the hardest working agents I have come across.”
