OUR TEAM
Lesley is part of our Public Sector Real Estate team, acting for Registered Social Landlords, local authorities, housing associations, and other public sector clients. Her principal areas of practice are commercial property transactions, public projects, and public and administrative law (including regulatory law, governance, and planning and environmental law)
With a long career in the public sector prior to joining the firm she is acutely aware of the complex and politically sensitive issues which impact the public sector. With that in mind, she advises on complex, high profile projects in the public sector. Lesley provides advice to clients on legislation and statutory interpretation, the powers and duties of public bodies, good corporate governance and getting decisions right first time. Her extensive knowledge of planning and environmental law, and commercial property work within the public sector, means that she is able to work with clients to provide practical solutions to presenting issues. Lesley regularly advises clients in relation to governance matters, the application of legislative developments and the development and implementation of policy, as well as general advisory work.
