Nadine Martin

Nadine has an established practice which encompasses all areas of family law including separation, divorce, financial provision, cohabitation, residence and contact disputes and relocation of children. She is well respected by her peers and is often referred complex cases by other solicitors.

Nadine has specific expertise in negotiating and litigating financial provision upon divorce, particularly in high net worth cases. She is experienced in dealing with cases involving cohabitants and complex child matters including international relocation. She also has experience in wider areas of civil law increasingly impacting upon separation and divorce including business and partnership interests, bankruptcy, insolvency, company administration and liquidation. Her clients describe her as ‘pragmatic but understanding’ and ‘solution focused’. Nadine’s goal is to help her clients to reach positive outcomes for themselves and their families during what is often a difficult and distressing time.

Nadine will always assist clients to negotiate a beneficial outcome but if that is not possible she is an adept and tenacious litigator. She appears regularly in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and is experienced in conducting divorce in the Court of Session. Nadine has also been involved in the preparation of two cases which were heard in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.

Nadine is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Family Law and is also an accredited Family Mediator and trained collaborative lawyer.
