Dawn has responsibility for the overall supervision of the debt recovery team, raising and administering actions on a large scale and instructing enforcement and collection of debts, including rent and other arrears from tenants and factored owners who receive services from the firm’s various housing clients. She has primary responsibility for reporting to clients both in person and through our case management system, quality control of all work and supervision of the debt recovery team. She has significant experience in dealing with high profile cases which may often involve media interest and issues of policy. She provides advice and guidance on issues of principle and assists clients in determining the most appropriate and cost effective method of recovery.
Dawn was commissioned by W. Green & Son to annotate the Debt Arrangement and Attachment (Scotland) Act 2001. The annotations are published as part of W.Green and Sons, Essential Legislation guides. She is also an author of an article on the Debt Arrangement and Attachment (Scotland) Act 2001, published in the Scots Law Times, Issue 25 2003. Her book “Debt Legislation”, a complete guide to the legislation in this area, was published in December 2012. Dawn lectures part time for the University of Strathclyde in their ordinary Degree in Law of Banking and Finance Course.
