The Times Best Law Firms guide has once again ranked Harper Macleod as one of the top firms in Scotland in its latest annual report.
The prestigious Best Law Firms rankings are considered the list of ‘lawyer’s lawyers’, being based on solicitors being commended by their peers in other firms around the country.
Harper Macleod is again on of the leading firms in Scotland in terms of the number of areas of law it is commended, with recognition in nine distinct fields, up from eight in the previous rankings. Those areas are:
- administrative & public law;
- commercial dispute resolution;
- commercial property;
- company & commercial;
- employment;
- energy & renewables;
- entertainment & sport;
- family law; and
- tax
While the rankings recognise all firms operating in Scotland, including those who have entered the country from other jurisdictions, Harper Macleod is one of the highest ranked firms with a purely Scottish presence – from its offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Elgin and Lerwick.
In the category Entertainment & Sport, the latter area in which Harper Macleod has long been the market leader, the firm was one of only two commended for this work in Scotland.
