Lindsay will be joined as an Associate in the team by Samantha Taylor and Kathleen Martin, who have both by promoted from Assistant within the firm.

Samantha, who is based in our Inverness office, has worked closely with Partner Tom Monteith in expanding the firm's private client offering in the north of Scotland. Kathleen is based in the Glasgow office and advises clients on the full range of private client matters.

Our Private Client department has grown extensively since it acquired boutique private client firm Bird Semple back in 2014 and is one of the biggest in Scotland with practitioners based at the firm's offices across the country. Harper Macleod now has a team of 29 in its private client department, led by six Partners and five Associates, working out of offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Lerwick.

Pamela Niven, head of Harper Macleod's Private Client team, said: "We're delighted to welcome Lindsay to the firm. She brings a great deal of experience, a strong reputation and a range of skills which will add to our strength in depth and complement the existing team.

"Samantha and Kathleen have very much both been part of the development of our personal legal services offering which has been a major aspect of the firm's profile over the past few years, and it's always very rewarding to see people develop and advance within the firm. These promotions are recognition of their hard work and effort."

Harper Macleod's private client team is the largest within the firm's personal legal services offering, which also includes substantial residential property and family law teams.
