Paralympian Samantha 'Sammi' Kinghorn, Scotland's leading wheelchair racer, has signed up our Athlete Ambassador for a further year – the fourth year of our partnership.
Following her fantastic performances in Rio, where the 20-year-old reached the final in all three of her events and smashed her own European record for the 800m by four seconds, she is now setting her sights on the next challenges.

The IPC Athletics World Championships return to the London Stadium in July 2017, while Sammi and her coach Ian Mirfin are planning to target marathon qualification for the 2018 Commonwealth Games by competing in next year's Chicago Marathon in October.
Sammi said: “I honestly wouldn't be where I am today without all the help and support I've received from Harper Macleod and I'm extremely grateful that they are continuing to back me. I feel like part of the firm and as well as loving the fact that Team HM across the country is cheering me on, it has been a great learning experience to carry out the ambassador role. I've grown a lot on and off the track since we began and hopefully the next year will bring even more great experiences for us all."
Harper Macleod is one of the leading independent Scottish law firms, offering a full range of personal and business legal services, and is also renowned as Scotland's leading sports law practice. Their relationship with Sammi began after the firm became Legal Advisers to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and they supported the then 17-year-old as she prepared for her first major international event.
Martin Darroch, Chief Executive of Harper Macleod, said: "We've watched Sammi grow from a 17-year-old novice to become an elite Paralympian and European No.1 over the course of three incredible years. Beyond her athletic performances she has been a tremendous ambassador for the firm. Everyone who meets Sammi is enthralled both by the way she has overcome adversity and her positive, can-do attitude to every challenge she takes on.
"The next year will be significant for Sammi and we know that, in terms of travel, equipment and training, it involves a huge commitment from her and her family. However, she is completely driven to succeed and we are delighted to continue to support her as she strives to achieve even more."
As well as representing the firm through her athletic performances, Sammi, who is a regular presence at schools and clubs around the country as she promotes sport and diversity, has spoken at a number of Harper Macleod events. This included a pre-Rio evening in conjunction with professional rugby club Glasgow Warriors, who the firm also sponsor, and the way she pursues her goals has been motivational to everyone who hears her speak.
