Stewart is a Partner in our Lerwick office, having come to practice law after initially starting his career in Local Government.
Stewart’s caseload has been varied in catering for client needs whilst remaining focused on residential and commercial conveyancing, licensing and company matters. Stewart specialises primarily in residential and commercial conveyancing whether it be sales, purchases, leases or other matters. He has extensive experience and solid grounding in all aspects of conveyancing and leasing as well as licensing issues including alcohol and civic government, having assisted clients from individuals to national supermarket chains in recent years. As well as conveyancing, Stewart also assists clients with the preparation of Wills or the granting of a Power of Attorney.
He has built up a strong client following who appreciate his innovative approach to problem solving and proactive “can do” approach. Stewart has represented Shetland-based clients, both companies and individuals, for many years.
Having grown up in Shetland, Stewart has an affinity and good understanding of the issues affecting crofting communities and the issues affecting Island life.
