Rod McKenzie is one of the two founding Partners of Harper Macleod and is the firm’s Senior Partner. Rod has over 30 years’ experience of working in dispute resolution with wide range of experience in litigation, reparation, commercial contracts, planning & environmental, insolvency, professional negligence, banking, property related litigation, trade union and industrial relations matters. Rod has substantial experience of advising clients in relation to issues, which are sensitive and/or complex, and is experienced in managing media matters as they relate to such issues.
He takes the lead in negotiating complex contracts for clients of the firm. Such matters have included for example commodities supply, software and commercial services, equipment and machinery supply, construction and numerous substantial contracts for the supply of services.
He is a member of the Discipline Panel of the Scottish Rugby Union as well as being an IRB, ERC and Six Nations judicial officer and committee chair.
Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession lists Rod as a "Leader in the Field" in Litigation and Sport. Market sources commend his "incredible desire to get into the detail of a case and work out as many angles as possible," and advocates say he "is a joy to be instructed by."
