David specialises in debt recovery litigation for a variety of public and private sector clients. He is involved in all aspects of pursuing and defending actions in the form of simple procedure claims, ordinary cause actions and summary applications. David has extensive Sheriff Court experience and appears in Courts across Scotland for procedural hearings and proofs. He also instructs a wide range of enforcement steps that can be undertaken after a successful court action.
David's knowledge and experience ensure that he is able to provide his clients with relevant and timely advice that allows them to make informed decisions. David also brings a wealth of litigation experience from his previous in-house role with Scotland's largest local authority where he had a busy and diverse case load, which included debt recovery, insolvency, personal injury, licensing, regulatory and education matters.
David has been a part time tutor in Civil Procedure at the University of Glasgow Diploma in Legal Practice since 2015. He also, until joining Harper Macleod, sat on the Law Society's In-house Lawyers Committee.
