Alastair Johnston

Alastair deals with a variety of civil and commercial matters and has experience in all aspects of court practice and procedure.  In particular, Alastair specialises in commercial litigation, property litigation and both personal and corporate insolvency law. Alastair has considerable experience in representing and advocating his client's interest across a range of both judicial and extra-judicial forums throughout Scotland.

Alastair is a member of our Court of Session team and assists with the preparation of high value, complex litigation. He also regularly represents clients at Sheriff Courts across Scotland, and has experience of appearing before Sheriffs and Sheriff Principals in a broad range of civil and commercial disputes.

Alastair is known for delivering highly tailored and adaptive solutions to resolve his client's challenges. This approach allows him to provide commercially focused advice whilst considering the specifics of our clients' cases, their priorities and any external factors affecting them before presenting a range of viable solutions and jointly identify the strategy which is most appropriate for their needs. Alastair is familiar with handling time sensitive litigation and has successfully obtained protective interim orders on behalf of his clients in a number of high risk situations.
