Mesothelioma Claims

Being diagnosed with Mesothelioma will be devastating for you and your family. We can support you and your family, can fight for justice and fairness and are committed to making a positive difference on your behalf.

What is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is the most severe of all the asbestos related diseases. It is a cancer, of which there is currently no cure that is caused by exposure to asbestos fibres.

It can take decades for Mesothelioma to develop and display symptoms. Therefore, the signs of Mesothelioma may not show until 50 years after a person has initially been exposed to asbestos.

Different types of Mesothelioma

There are three different types of mesothelioma:

  • Pleural Mesothelioma – most common form of mesothelioma affecting the lungs
  • Peritoneal Mesothelioma – affects the lining of the abdomen
  • Pericardial Mesothelioma – develops in the membrane surrounding the heart

Damages for family members

The level of damages awarded in Scotland can be significantly higher than those in England & Wales. In fatal cases, there are a wide range of relatives including siblings and grandparents that are able to obtain damages. A person diagnosed with Mesothelioma can resolve their own claim during their lifetime and the bereaved relatives can seek damages after their death.

You and members of your family may be entitled to receive a payment and we can advise you how to do this and help you and members of your family during a very difficult time.

If you or your loved one has been diagnosed with Mesothelioma, you may be entitled to claim compensation to cover your pain and suffering, care expenses and loss of earnings or pension, to name but a few.

How to submit a claim?

Our specialist lawyers will speak to you and/or your family and investigate when and how the exposure to asbestos happened. If we assess that you have a case we will intimate the details of the claim as quickly as possible. The details of the injury will be sent to the insurance company of those at fault.

We will ingather details of your losses, any documents that we need to prove your case and will contact witnesses as soon as possible.
