OUR TEAM
I have a particular interest in complex and contentious separations. I provide pragmatic and solution-focussed advice to clients and take the time to ensure that I fully understand their concerns during the process of a separation or childcare dispute.
I regularly appear in Sheriff Courts to represent parents in contact and residence disputes. From the outset of a case, I will aim to resolve matters amicably through negotiations. If this is not possible, clients can be assured that I will confidently represent and advise them throughout the Court process. My knowledge of Court procedures, rules, and practices expands across a variety of legal areas and accordingly I am able to provide clear and robust advice to clients whose cases require litigation.
In addition to matters involving children, I also advise clients in relation to financial matters arising from the breakdown of relationships. I regularly prepare pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements for clients to regulate the financial consequences of their separation.
I also advise clients in relation to their rights as Cohabitants and am experienced in negotiating and litigating financial matters arising from Cohabitation disputes. I have instructed Counsel in relation to novel matters arising from Cohabitating relationships, and at evidential hearings at the Sheriff Court.
