Harper Macleod has advised Anthony O’Reilly on the sale of a majority shareholding in Forrester Moon Limited, the holding company of East Kilbride-based Rysine Joinery Limited, to the West Midlands-based FSC Doors Limited, part of the MBP Door Solutions Group.
Rysine Joinery, a well-regarded specialist in bespoke timber joinery solutions, has built a strong reputation in the construction industry for quality over many years.
The transaction sees Rysine become the Scottish arm of the group, which provides a complete supply chain in the doors and joinery market. This enables customers, such as contractors, developers, and building specifiers, to source full doorsets (door, core, frame, ironmongery, certification) from one integrated group, backed by specialist expertise, accreditation and streamlined logistics.
The sale to the FSC Doors represents a strategic fit and an opportunity for expansion in Scotland, while preserving the values and standards that have made Rysine a trusted name in the industry.
Anthony O’Reilly will remain involved in the business, working alongside the new owners to ensure continuity of service for clients and help drive the growth of the business in Scotland.
The Harper Macleod deal team was led by Paul Macdonald, with support from corporate colleagues Aiden Paterson (solicitor) and Duncan Walker (trainee solicitor). Neil Robb and his team at AAB provided accounting and tax advice.
Paul Macdonald of Harper Macleod said:
“We were pleased to support Tony on the successful sale of Rysine Joinery. The transaction will provide a business-as-usual approach for customers and staff while positioning the business for future success and growth. It was a pleasure working with Tony and we wish him and the buyer the very best in this next chapter.”
Anthony O’Reilly commented:
“Selling your business is never a small decision, but this was the right time and the right buyer. I’m confident that working with the MBP Door Solutions Group going forward will be best for the growth of Rysine Joinery, and I’m pleased to be staying on to support the project. I’d like to thank Paul Macdonald and the team at Harper Macleod for their clear, commercial advice and support throughout — they made a complex process much more manageable.”
