British Athletics has today confirmed Glasgow as the host city for the 2020 British Indoor Season, with two major events being staged at the Emirates Arena in February.
The events will mark the start of the 2020 competition countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. World-class athletes will compete at Emirates Arena for the Müller Indoor Grand Prix Glasgow on 15 February 2020, before the city hosts the SPAR British Athletics Indoor Championships for the first time ever between 22-23 February 2020, as athletes bid to qualify for March’s IAAF World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China.

At the official announcment, Scottish 800m runner Guy Learmonth said a "massive" fortnight for athletics in Scotland will be the perfect springboard for next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo. "My first championships was the Glasgow Commonwealth Games," said Learmonth. "I thought they would be almost once in a lifetime, these big sporting events in Glasgow. But we've had the European Indoors last time, now we've got the Indoor Grand Prix and then the week after - for the first time ever - the British Championships are here.
"It's incredible. It's amazing that so many big sporting events are coming to Scotland and coming to Glasgow. It's amazing to be a part of that."
Earlier this year, Harper Macleod was appointed as Official Legal Advisers of British Athletics, building on previous appointments Legal Advisers to both the Glasgow 2018 European Championships and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The Müller Indoor Grand Prix is the number one ranked indoor meet in the world as the planet’s best athletes arrive in the city for an incredible afternoon of world-class sport.
