Harper Macleod Chairman and founder, Professor Lorne Crerar, will be honoured this Thursday night when he is presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Legal Awards in Glasgow.
The tribute was announced in The Times Scotland edition on Saturday (16th March) when the newspaper carried an extensive interview written by its former editor Magnus Linklater, looking back at the career and life of Professor Crerar.
As a firm, Harper Macleod is proud to see him recognised in this way. Lorne follows in the footsteps of an illustrious array of previous winners, from Lords Cullen, Mackay, Hope and McCluskey to Lady Cosgrove and last year's recipient, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC.
Being chosen for this award recognises the contribution he has made to the Scottish legal profession and wider civic Scotland and it is a tremendous honour for him. We look forward to a great night on Thursday, when Harper Macleod Associates Amy Mackenzie and Kelly Fraser are also nominated in the Rising Star category at the Awards – good luck to both.
