Harper Macleod helps Highland Hospice raises over £100,000 with Make a Will Month

Harper Macleod is delighted to have been among the firms of solicitors who have helped Highland Hospice’s Make a Will Appeal raise over £100,000 since the Appeal began in 2003.

Each year solicitors sign up to offer Will writing during the month of May in return for a donation to Highland Hospice. Last year’s Make a Will Month raised £17,564 which is the greatest total ever raised by the initiative.

Samantha Taylor, an Associate in the private client team at Harper Macleod in Inverness, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have helped Highland Hospice reach the £100,000 milestone – it's a tremendous achievement by all involved. We always encourage clients and others to make sure they have an up-to-date Will, and being able to combine this each May with raising funds for the Hospice to carry on its vital work is a win-win situation for everyone."

Highland Hospice Corporate Fundraiser Lisa Long said, “We are so grateful to each and every solicitor who has participated in this appeal over the years. Last year’s total was just incredible and shows that Make a Will Month is going from strength to strength, so special thanks to the ten solicitors firms who participated in 2017.”

She added: “Make a Will Month 2018 will be running in May, and a list of participating solicitors will appear on our website from early spring time. Making a Will is so important to all of us, and so I would urge anyone who hasn’t got one in place – or whose current Will needs updated – to visit one of these solicitors in May and help raise valuable funds for Highland Hospice at the same time.”
