Harper Macleod, one of Scotland’s leading law firms, has opened two new sites this week after making a significant investment to support its continued growth.
The firm moved into its new office at Citypoint in Edinburgh on Monday, tripling its physical footprint in the capital.
This was followed by the launch of this new Harper Macleod website – a fully responsive site optimised for viewing on mobile devices and tablets, as well desktop computers.
Martin Darroch, Chief Executive of Harper Macleod, said: “All investments and commitments we make must enhance the future of the firm and the services we deliver for clients. The Edinburgh and east of Scotland market continues to represent an opportunity for us, as one of the few truly full service law firms in the country. Our new office gives us the facilities to provide our quality and value of service to even more clients, including those from outwith the Scottish jurisdiction. We have already added to our headcount in the city with two Partners joining as lateral hires in June, and there are more to come.
“Meanwhile digital continues to be important channel for law firms, including as a source of business. It is essential that we provide the best user experience for those increasing numbers accessing services online, particularly via mobile devices, and that is precisely what our new website does
“For me, the important point is that our sites are fit for purpose for a law firm and business of our scale and ambition and in line with the expectations of the individuals and businesses we work with, wherever they are based.”
Harper Macleod’s new office at Citypoint, 65 Haymarket Terrace is just yards from Haymarket train station, and replaces the firm’s office on Melville Street.
After a record-breaking year in 2014-2015, the firm now has a headcount of more than 350, including 63 partners which make it Scotland’s fourth largest legal partnership, and the fifth largest professional partnership overall.
