Harper Macleod welcomes new Partner among three arrivals

Harper Macleod, Legal Adviser to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, is delighted to announce that Peter Ferguson has joined the firm as a Partner in the Real Estate & Construction team.

Peter, who was previously an Associate with the firm before spending a number of years as company secretary at Scottish Coal, will work closely with existing Partners in the team's planning department.

Harper Macleod Chief Executive Martin Darroch said: "Peter's appointment is a reflection of the ongoing growth we are seeing for our Real Estate & Construction offering. As with all of the sectors in which we operate, we continue to see real opportunities in the immediate future and beyond, and are continually looking to bring in talented, ambitious lawyers across the board.

"After enjoying a record year last year in terms of turnover and profit, we are already hitting our targets for the current financial year and appointments such as this will see us continue to thrive in the Scottish legal market."

The Real Estate & Construction team has also been boosted by the arrival of Nigel Eccles. Nigel, who trained at Scottish Enterprise and has worked for McGrigor Donald, Menzies Dougal, Clairmonts and Semple Fraser, will bring his technical knowledge and experience to support the team with a number of ongoing projects.

The firm's Banking & Finance team has also been strengthened with the appointment of Arlene Taylor as a solicitor. Arlene, who qualified with Warners, will assist Partner Jacqui Fraser.
