Harper Macleod's Chief Executive, Martin Darroch, is set to share the podium with Paul Volcker, an advisor to three Presidents of the USA.
Mr Darroch, will be speaking at the CA Conference at Gleneagles 21st September and is delighted to be joining Paul Volcker, the former Chair of the US Federal Reserve on the panel.
Mr Volcker is one of the world's most prominent economists and headed up the Federal Reserve from 1979 to 1987. He advised Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan during that time.
In 2009, at the request of President Obama, he became Chairman of the US Economic Recovery Advisory Board and was instrumental in introducing and implementing "The Volcker Rule", which prevents commercial banks from owning and investing in hedge funds.
Other speakers at the conference include former Chancellor Alistair Darling and Scotland's Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth, John Swinney MSP.
Mr Darroch will be speaking about the continuous growth of Harper Macleod through the current economic climate and outlining his ethos of creating a culture of business development throughout an organisation and its role in achieving success.
"It will be great to meet and share my thoughts with such important figures in worldwide banking and finance.
"Like many of the attendees to the ICAS conference, I'll be eager to hear views on economic recovery and what needs to change on the local and global markets to escape the current downturn."
