Today marks the start of Action for Brain Injury Week which is a week-long awareness event organised by the brain injury charity, Headway.
Our Personal Injury team at Harper Macleod have acted for many clients and their families who have sustained brain injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, accidents at work and due to medical negligence. The effects of a brain injury can be varied, wide ranging and serious. It is important that traumatic brain injuries are recognised at an early stage so that the appropriate rehabilitation treatment can be obtained to assist with recovery.
This week we will be focusing on the most common situations in which brain injuries can be sustained, and how to make a claim should you (or someone you know) sustain a brain injury in an accident. Follow @Headway on Twitter for updates on #actionforbraininjury week and keep an eye out on our own blog for more information, each day this week, on dealing with Brain Injuries @HMPersonalInj.
