Event: Beginner's Guide to Travel Law in Scotland - is your travel business up to date with the latest regulations?

The holiday season has arrived and now is the time to ask yourself whether you are up to date on the latest travel regulations relevant to your business.

The law provides extensive protection for travellers. It is important to be fully aware of your obligations under the relevant EU and domestic legislation to minimise potential claims for compensation. In association with ABTA we are holding "A Beginner's Guide to Travel Law – Scotland" conference aimed at providing you with knowledge on a range of key issues important to those in the travel industry.

Programme

The event began with an explanation of the importance of understanding the basics of travel law and how ABTA can help your business.

Through a series of presentations delegates will be provided with the relevant legal insight into everything you need to know, and more importantly, understand.

In order to help protect your business, key regulations will be explained and important sections highlighted from the Package Travelling Regulations and ATOL Regulations.

The event will also lead you through the contracting basics for travel, including online contracting and what not to do.

Consumers have a range of protections when it comes to changes, cancellation and delay. Our event will provide crucial insight into how to protect your customers, and in turn your business from potential claims. We will also be looking at personal injury claims.

This interactive experience will allow you to ask questions specific to your business and discuss important protections and solutions. You will be provided with valuable legal expertise giving you the confidence to sell holidays without putting your business at risk.
