Sammi Kinghorn rockets into 200m final at World Championships

Harper Macleod Athlete Ambassador Samantha 'Sammi' Kinghorn got her IPC World Championships campaign  in Doha off to a flying start this morning by winning her T53 200m semi-final in style.

Sammi, 19, is already of the world’s leading wheelchair racers and recorded a winning time of 31.91s to win comfortably and qualify second fastest overall. Australian Angie Ballard won the second semi marginally faster, in 31.86s, to set up an intriguing final at 5.40pm today.

Some sessions of the World Championships are being also being shown live on More4 each day, including over the weekend, from 2pm.

Sammi has already done herself and everyone else proud by making the Championships, join us in cheering her on as she tries to land her first ever global medal. Good luck Sammi!

Saturday, 24th: 100m Final  4.35pm
Sunday, 25th: 400m Semi final  9.08am; 400m Final 4.21pm
Monday 26th: 800m Semi final  5.30pm
Tuesday 27: 800m Final  4.40pm
