Commonwealth Games mascot Clyde was at the centre of yesterday's party to mark One Year To Go until the start of Glasgow 2014, greeting commuters including our own Head of Corporate Donald Munro (he’s the one on the right).
Life, business and the law
The law never stands still, and the way it applies to you and your organisation is constantly evolving. Our people are on top of these developments and can keep you up to date with some of the most interesting aspects of these changes. This time next year the wait will be over as the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games get underway. Sir Chris Hoy was among those taking over Buchanan Street from 7am to 10am this morning for a special 1YTG party. He may not be taking part, but for many others the preparations go up a notch as the Games move into sight. As Legal Advisers to Glasgow 2014, we’re among them. To mark 1YTG, today we have updated the dedicated Glasgow 2014 microsite on our website, which features a host of information on our involvement, including 10 of our lawyers talking about their work with the Games and pictures of our story so far, as well as details of all the events which will make up the XX Commonwealth Games. Today also sees the launch of the Games’ Ticket Brochure. The brochure will allow everyone to pick the events they want to see ahead of the tickets going on sale on August 19. Visit the 2014 website for more on ticketing.
The media often features depressing stories about the number of marriages and relationships that end in failure. But there are always different ways of looking at statistics.
