Corporate Solicitor (NQ to 4 years PQE), Glasgow
Ranked among the country’s leading dealmakers, Harper Macleod’s Corporate team continues to grow and we’re looking for a Solicitor who has the drive and ability to join a group advising some of Scotland’s leading businesses.
In the past year our team has been involved in more than 100 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of half a billion pounds, involving work in 18 different jurisdictions. Our work involves the full spectrum of corporate advice and transactions, with a particular focus on family owned, owner managed and entrepreneurial businesses.
You will work for Partner Paula Skinner and her team within the Corporate group, advising varied and challenging clients including entrepreneurs at all stages of their business life cycle, from start up to eventual exit. Your role will also involve advising on shareholder arrangements and corporate structuring and reorganisations, including succession planning advice.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter, able to work well within a team environment and be capable of dealing directly with a high volume of varied client enquiries with excellent technical skills and attention to detail. Applicants must have corporate experience either during traineeship or post qualification, and be able to be the first point of contact for a transaction, with Partner support being provided as required.
