Rugby Pro Dan Parks Shares Leadership Tips For Success With Harper Macleod Clients
Leading Scotland stand-off and Glasgow Warriors captain Dan Parks swapped the rugby pitch for the boardroom this week when he shared his story and tips for success with some of Scotland's business leaders and Harper Macleod clients.
Dan talked about his strategy for success and drew parallels with the worlds of business and sport. He defined 9 principal leadership characteristics including technical proficiency, setting an example and the need for sound and timely decision-making. Dan is committed to corporate social responsibility and spends time encouraging young people to participate in sport, using rugby as a communication and inclusion tool. Dan, formerly of New South Wales Australia, moved to the UK in 2001 and joined the Glasgow Warriors in 2003.
