Save The Date For the GWC Charity Ball!

Five leading Scottish charities are set to benefit from the fourth Great Wilderness Challenge Charity Ball, due to be held in Glasgow's Radisson Hotel on Saturday, September 13.

Highland Hospice, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, CHILDREN 1ST, The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) have been chosen as this year's beneficiaries.

Last year's ball contributed almost £40,000 to charity funds.  Organisers Harper Macleod, Tulloch Homes Group and Odgers Ray and Berndtson are hopeful this sum will be exceeded in 2008.

Up to 350 guests will enjoy an evening of Scottish-themed entertainment, including a 3 course dinner, a traditional ceilidh and a dance band and a fundraising auction.

While tickets are selling fast, there are still some tables of 10 available at £950 for what is expected to be a night to remember in Scotland's social calendar!

The ball continues the Highland theme of the GWC Walk that takes place on Saturday, August 23 in Wester Ross.  Now entering its 22nd year, the Walk attracts runners and hikers from across the world, who have raised substantial sums for charity while tackling the 7, 13 or 25 mile routes in the stunning Scottish Highlands.
