Contractual Advice

The Group acts in the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements, bonds and guarantees  and other construction documents as well as considering and reporting on the terms of such documents for Employer Clients such as Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Developers, Contractors and Consultants and Funders.

Adjudication

Adjudication is increasingly used as a method of resolving dispute. The Group has recognised and promoted the possible advantages of this procedure to the firms clients and has acted both for applicants and respondents under the procedure as well as providing legal advice to adjudicators in their decision making.  

Arbitration and Litigation

The Group continues to act for clients involved in the more traditional forms of dispute resolution procedures more appropriate for many disputes where the advantages of adjudication are outweighed by other considerations such as the complexity of the dispute.
