We weren't wrong about the growth potential

A vital economic driver. We have been a member of the Scottish Government's influential legal panel since 2003. The Public Sector is such an important part of the Scottish economy and we saw obvious growth potential for Harper Macleod. We weren't wrong. Only a year later, we were named as Public Sector Firm of the Year in the Legal Awards of Scotland. 

We have been determined to demonstrate our depth of skill and prove the width of Public Sector instructions we are capable of undertaking as a balanced and well-rounded Public Sector law firm.

Housing transfer specialists. We've developed efficient, innovative management systems to handle bespoke work in the large scale voluntary transfer (LSVT) of housing stocks from local authority to private or association ownership. We have been involved in more transfers than any other firm in Scotland and have completed LSVTs valued at over £800m.

Local councils like us. Ours is a systematic approach that's appreciated by more and more local authorities.  So much so, that they're broadening the suite of legal services they ask us to provide. They're now coming to Harper Macleod for such services as employment, debt recovery and litigation work, advice on Freedom of Information and healthcare, as well as on intellectual property, technology, procurement and regulatory issues.
