The Group's areas of expertise include:

Road Traffic Claims:

We pursue claims for compensation for losses arising out of road accidents including lost property hire costs and personal injury. The Group is able to pursue and defend anything from minor out-of-pocket expenses to claims in excess of £1 million.

 Contractual disputes:

This may include claims against holiday companies and areas where the public require advice on contracts.

 Property disputes:

This may include both pursuing and defending proceedings arising out of boundary disputes; recognition of rights of access; foliage blocking light.

 Employment disputes:

We assist policyholders in claims against employers regarding working conditions, hours of work.  We work closely with our Employment Pensions & Incentives Practice Group to dovetail with the range of work carried out by the Employment Team.

 Employers and Occupier's liability:

We will pursue claims for compensation in respect of injury claims or damage to property arising out of breaches of legislation by employers or landlords.

 Claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority:

 Public Liability :

Claims can be pursued against Local Authorities for damage to property or injury caused by defective pavements, stairways or  badly driven public transport.

 We defend proceedings raised against policyholders in both Sheriff Court and Court of Session.

 We utilise Counsel and tactics followed by the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in respect of Court of Session cases.
