Harper Macleod's Rod McKenzie Appointed To New National Anti-Doping Panel
Sport Resolutions (UK) announced today that Harper Macleod founding partner and sports law expert, Rod McKenzie has been appointed to their newly established National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP).
The role of the 16-strong Panel, which starts work next month, is to make consistent, impartial rulings when athletes are charged with anti-doping violations.
Rod McKenzie is the legal advisor to the Scottish Premier League and Chairman of the Appeals Committee of the Scottish Rugby Union. He is a Judicial Officer for the International Rugby Board, a Disciplinary and Appeals Chairman for both the 6Nations and European Rugby Cup and was an Appeals Chairman for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Rod has acted in numerous disciplinary cases at both domestic and international level and has taken appeal cases to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He recently chaired the SRU Judicial Committee, which dealt with the case of Scott MacLeod.
