10th National Housing Conference to Debate the Future of Affordable Housing in Scotland
The future of affordable housing in Scotland will be under discussion during the upcoming 10th National Housing Conference, to be held at the Dunblane Hydro Hotel on February 27, 2008.
The provision of affordable housing is critical to economic growth and community development. Housing providers are challenged to deliver value for the public purse whilst increasing the choice and supply of available housing.
Expert speakers will discuss the key legal and regulatory issues which housing providers must address, following the publication of the government discussion document "Firm Foundations" and in anticipation of recommendations made by the Crerar Review.
They include Professor Lorne D Crerar, Harper Macleod LLP, author of the Crerar Review, Jacqui Watt, Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, Taroub Zahran, Glasgow Housing Association, Kennedy Foster, Council of Mortgage Lenders and Len Freedman, Harper Macleod LLP.
The Conference will take place at Dunblane Hydro, with places costing £100 per person + VAT, (£117.50) including lunch and light refreshments.
