Harper Macleod is Corporate Team of the Year

Leading commercial law firm Harper Macleod LLP is celebrating after lifting the Bank of Scotland Corporate Team of the Year Award at the recent Scottish Legal Awards 2006.

Corporate Partner Donnie Munro collected the award on behalf of the firm, recognising the significant impact that the team has made on the fiercely competitive corporate legal market in recent years.   

Harper Macleod's Corporate & Commercial Practice Group received the award in recognition of achieving significant and consistent growth during challenging economic conditions and having handled the broadest possible spread of transactions in terms of value and complexity. Supporting client testimonials were provided by two of the firm's leading corporate clients, Tulloch Group and Optical Express.

The corporate team is the fastest growing area of Harper Macleod's business, with membership having increased by 550% since 2000 and turnover increased by 419% for the same period.

Harper Macleod is the only firm to receive three awards at this year's Scottish Legal Awards, recognising the strength and development of the firm in a number of areas. Following a closed-door discussion by the judging panel, Harper Macleod also took the award for Rising Star of the Year and the coveted Firm of the Year 2006 award.
