Former Burness Pensions Specialist Strengthens Harper Macleod Team
Harper Macleod LLP, one of Scotland's leading commercial law firms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Dunn as Pensions Partner in the firm's Glasgow office.
Former Head of Pensions at Burness, Steven will provide specialist pensions legal advice primarily to the firm's corporate, employment and private clients. As well as overseeing the legality of investments and pensions plans, he will provide advice on the structure of occupational pensions schemes and pension rights in commercial transactions and disputes.
Steven is taking over the role of Harper Macleod's existing senior Pensions Partner, Scott Moncur, who is moving to Dundee with his family.
Professor Crerar, Managing Partner, said "We are delighted to be welcoming Steven on board and we are confident that his considerable Pensions expertise will further strengthen our Employment, Pensions & Incentives team. Whilst it is rare for the firm to grow its practice areas by way of senior hiring, we recognised that in Steven's case, he offers very specific expertise that will complement and enhance our existing Employment and Corporate teams. The firm is experiencing considerable turnover growth in this financial year and Steven will help us to continue providing excellence of service to our clients."
Harper Macleod's Employment, Pensions & Incentives Practice Group is one of Scotland's leading employment practices, comprising a team of solicitors dedicated to employment and pensions law, based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. The Group is recognised by The Legal 500 for its expertise ("A 'responsive' employment outfit, providing an 'attentive service'").
Established in 1988 by Professor Lorne Crerar and Rod McKenzie, Harper Macleod has evolved into a firm with 31 Partners, 2 Consultants, 92 Fee Earners and a complement of 182 staff.
