Promotions Strengthen Harper Macleod Employment and Insurance Teams
Harper Macleod LLP, one of Scotlands leading commercial law firms with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness, is pleased to announce the promotion of solicitors Saria Akhter and Arlene McDaid to Associate status.
Saria Akhter LLB Hons Dip LP joined the firm in January 2003 as an assistant solicitor within the Employment Practice Group. Saria has extensive employment law experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters including race, disability and sex discrimination, unfair and constructive dismissal, breach of contract, wages act claims and redundancy.
Arlene McDaid is a member of the firms Insurance Practice Group and specialises in reparation law with particular emphasis on defender reparation. Arlene qualified as a Solicitor Advocate earlier this year, entitling her to appear in the Court of Session, the Privy Council and the House of Lords. She also has a certificate in further advanced advocacy, having completed a training course hosted by the Law Societies of Scotland, England and Ireland and in conjunction with the American National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
