Harper Macleod Strengthens Public Sector Links With Scottish Executive Tender Successes
Harper Macleod LLP, one of Scotlands leading commercial law firms, has confirmed its position as a leading provider of legal services to the public sector with the announcement of two successful tenders to the Scottish Executive.
The only firm in Scotland to achieve record growth of 21% in the past year, Harper Macleod is one of two firms appointed to the panel of legal services providers for the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB), an Executive Agency of the Scottish Executive Justice Department. The service to be provided covers conveyancing and general property work including commercial property work for a range of client Departments, such as the Scottish Prison Service, Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency, Historic Scotland, and the Scottish Courts Service, plus a small amount of agency work carried out on behalf of Whitehall Departments.,
Harper Macleod received an unprecedented five awards in the recent Law Awards of Scotland 2004, including Public Sector Law Firm of the Year.
Managing Partner, Professor Lorne Crerar, commented: "Our successful tenders to the Scottish Executive further reinforce our position as one of Scotlands leading legal players in the Public Sector. Since our inception, Harper Macleod has been committed to being a Scottish firm, serving Scotland, and as such, it is a privilege to have the opportunity of handling work of this nature."
