Harper Macleod Holds First Waste Conference

Waste is a big issue.  Under the EU Landfill Directive, the UK is committed to reducing municipal waste to 75% of 1995 levels by 2010 and 35% of 1995 levels by 2020. The pressure is on to make PPPs work for waste projects.

Leading commercial law firm Harper Macleod LLP is hosting its first Waste Projects Conference, bringing together a diverse panel of speakers to give a dynamic assessment of the issues involved in delivering waste projects that will meet the targets for reducing municipal landfill waste.

Waste PPPs - Learning from the English Experience takes place at Dunblane Hydro Hotel on Wednesday 30 May 9am - 3pm and includes speaker slots by Dr Norman Oliver, Partner, Harper Macleod, Mikko Ramstedt, Scottish Executive, David Newmans, Royal Bank of Scotland, Graham Mays, SITA UK Limited, and Nathan Goode, Grant Thornton.  It is aimed at all professionals involved in delivering Waste Projects, including waste contractors, construction companies, technical advisors, financial advisors, legal advisors, funders, equity providers, councils, environmental consultants and environment agencies.

The cost of attending the conference is £200 + VAT (Private Sector) and £150+ VAT (Public Sector). Fee includes refreshments, lunch and delegate pack.  For further information or to book a place, contact Claire Kissock on 0141 227 9369, email: claire.kissock@harpermacleod.co.uk
